I'm Baaack!
So I'm finally back online after a month away as we prepared to move from NYC to a remote village on the coast of Cumbria, in England. Quite a change! There have been some ups and downs, of course; the biggest down has been contracting pneumonia as soon as we arrived! I was bedridden for a week. Not exactly a grand start, but things improved from there. We are in our new house now, and my children are loving living in the countryside so far. Next week we get the dog.
Here is the view from my desk:
After a month of nearly no writing, I must knuckle down and finish my latest Presents. In the meantime, my historical saga Down Jasper Lane is available on Smashwords here: Smashwords . At only $2.99 it is fairly priced I hope and I'd love to know what you think of it. It contains a romance (one of my favorites actually!) but it isn't resolved at the end of the book, as this is the first in a trilogy. I do hope you'll try it though, even if you are a straight romance reader.
If you really do just like your romance, my duet with Jennie Lucas, The Secret Baby Scandal, is now on sale at eharlequin.

I hope you'll be very happy in Cumbria, Kate. Sorry to hear about the pneumonia! Hope you are over it now and feeling much better.
That is a beautiful view from your desk and sure to give inspiration.
How long was the quarantine for the dog, 6 weeks? It'll feel more like home once you get him back!
Chris.
Welcome back to the UK Kate! I knew Cumbria was beautiful - but that view from your desk makes me so envious. I hope you and your family are truly happy in your new homel
Thanks Chris and Kate. Admittedly I took that photo in just about perfect conditions, but it is a lovely view! Chris, we didn't have a dog--we're getting a puppy on Monday!! *Braces self*
